Production update!

So i’m pretty fucking excited.

WARNING: YOURE GONNA GET A LOT OF NERD TALK BUT THATS OKAY.

For a while, I was using a pretty baseline HP laptop to do all of my streaming and editing and what not. It wasn’t really cutting it, so I decided to get decent gaming laptop (Acer Nitro 5) and use that so I can actually game on the PC. The more I gamed on it, the more I loved it. I decided to max out the RAM on it, bringing it up to 32GB and add a 2TB SSD in addition to the 256GB M.2 SATA drive added in there. After a while, I started using it more for music and video editing and less for gaming. I realized most of my space was being taken up by production stuff and less on actual games. So I started using my iPad Pro for my music, which has been huge.

First off, let me say that the iPad Pro is an AMAZING music production device. And with the Apple Pencil, photo editing in Photoshop and Affinity Photo is a breeze, along with LumaFusion for video editing. But there was something missing.

Did I need another laptop? Not really, but would it make my life much easier? Oh my God yes.

So I caved and got a MacBook Pro. I got the 10th Gen Intel one with 512GB of storage, because the 16 inch seemed like a bit overkill for what I needed and this one was just right. And now I can use apps that I’ve wanted to for years, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and even learn to code using Xcode. Luckily back when I was working for Apple back in the day you had the ability to get licenses for FCP, Logic and a bunch of other paid first party apps, so I saved myself at least $500 on that, which is nice!

I would love to have my first app in the App Store by the end of the year. Just a matter of what it would be.
